We believe man was created with a language so God could communicate with him. God communicates with us through His Word, the Bible. 2 Tim 3:16

The Bible contains the Mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers.

A line Vince keeps from the Gideons Bible

God speaks in five basic ways

  • His written Word — the most sure method, especially when a verse comes alive in an unusual way.
  • A still small voice within — our conscience, which can accuse or excuse us.
  • Outward circumstances — these can be misinterpreted.
  • Counsel of others — this can be misinterpreted.
  • Through prayer — sometimes His voice emerges through a sudden sense of peace, a clear thought, or a conviction that aligns with His Word.

When all five agree, you can be pretty sure it is God’s will.

God may also speak

  • Through dreams or visions — this can be your mind playing games.
  • Through signs and wonders — while less common, God still manifests His presence through extraordinary events, coincidences, or seemingly miraculous interventions.
  • Through silence and solitude — God’s voice is often heard most clearly in quietness.

Discernment is crucial. These signs must stay consistent with His Word and purpose.
